2006 WINE TASTING RESULTS
FEBRUARY 28, 2006 BLIND TASTING
We tasted a Farrallon Chardonnay which was chilled at three different
temperatures (approximately 70, 65 & 60 degrees Fahrenheit) & asked our members
to identify what type of grape & vintage they were tasting. Various opinions
were given but the highest rated tasting was for the 70 degree presentation.
We tasted a Brisandes Cabernet Savignon which was decanted three different ways,
(1) decanted for one hour in open ceramic pan, (2) passed between decanters six
times in six minutes, (3) opened and immediately poured. The immediately opened
sample got the highest rating.
AWS rating system was used but is not provided in this report.
